Celebrating Raksha Bandhan
Behna ne Bhai ki kalaayi pe pyaar baandha he..... We have all heard and regaled in the melodious tune of this Bollywood blockbuster song.. However, SCHOOL FRIENDS FOUNDATION decided to give a whole new meaning to the indestructible bonds of love between a brother and sister by also propagating the love for our nature and the intrinsic bond we share with it. On this occasion, SCHOOL FRIENDS FOUNDATION trustees and volunteers spread out in various cities viz Chennai, Rourkela, Delhi, Gurgaon, Bhubaneswar and highlighted the need to plant more trees and care for our nature in every possible manner and acts starting from our everyday chores. On the occasion, plantable Rakhis were sold at nominal rates to children and they were also educated about the planting methods etc. Approximately 500 ecofriendly and plantable Rakhis circulated, which is a small step on our part in "creating while educating".
