Papia Kundu, President (Advisory Role)
Papia is a Program manager with L&T Technology Services Limited, having 15+ years in Telecom & Infrastructure domain expertise, mostly into Delivery Management, customer management, Organization framing and development , Business development. She has done her Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) and an ardent follower of Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, and Swami Vivekananda. She is also associated with Do-our-bits and an active member of School Friends Foundation
Rashmi R Mahapatra, General Secretary
Rashmi is working as a Law Officer in one of the leading Financial Company. He has also handled complex investigations involving corporate frauds and regulatory issues. He has significant experience in conducting whistleblower and internal investigations, asset tracing, forensic review of transactions. With close to two decades of experience in corporate he brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and business strategy to structuring, negotiating and closing complex commercial transactions. Rashmi has background in economics, accountancy, LLB from Utkal University and finance provides a practical and holistic approach to the practice of law which seamlessly.
Subrata Biswas, Treasurer
Subrata has a Master degree of Business Administration in System & Operations and Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management Rehabilitation and Preparedness. He has been working in the education and health, K-12 domain for the past 24 years. He has a diverse and rich corporate experience in the field of Education technology and Health care solutions. As a Cofounder & COO currently heading the business operations of Swasth Bhoomi Private Limited, a startup India registered company. Being a techno savvy person has been instrumental in developing and evaluating right fit product for classroom solutions related to health and digital education platform. He is also a Cloud Computing, PRINCE2 (project management) and Yoga Certified professional. He is an active member of Indian Red Cross (Delhi), Civil Defence (Gurgaon) and associated with School Friends Foundation. He believes that we all can spare some time from our daily schedule and can “impact the life of common people with happiness”
Koyena Dastidar, Management Trustees
Koyena has a Master degree in Biophysics , Molecular Biology and Genetics and B.Ed from Calcutta University.A Diploma holder in Human Rights from IIHR, New Delhi. She is a National scholarship holder being University topper at graduation in B.Sc.( zoology hons.) from Sambalpur University . During her college days alongwith academics, she was also highly active in sports and had also bagged Best Athlete award. She is an active Rotarian and now designated as Assistant Governor Rotary District 3261.She is also the committee member of Bhanja Kala Kendra, a premiere Dance and Music institute of western odisha. Presently she is working as senior biology teacher in St. Joseph Convent School and nearly 20 years in this profession. Apart from being an experienced educator, she is also an eminent “Odissi dancer” , trained in Hindustani Classical (Vocal) and possesses a Senior Diploma in Ankan Sree( painting) and a “black belt” holder in Karate.A person along with all professional qualifications, remains equally associated with social works for a better society to live in..
Sukhpal Singh, Management Trustees
Sukhpal’s student life was very entrepreneurial as he has a family business of automobile spares. After completing his master degree in English Literature and Post graduate diploma in Computer application, he decided to run his own family business. He is passionate of singing songs and great fan of Jagjit Singh. He is also a active member of a Band called “Sangeet Tarang " at Rourkela and have performed at various platforms. He is extremely modest and his hospitable personality is admirable.
Shishir Singh, Founding Member
Shishir is an electrical engineer and having a rich experience of more than 22 years in the Steel Manufacturing industry including Sponge Iron, Induction Furnace and Billet production. Right now heading a 0.5 MTPA steel manufacturing plant of Adhunik Corporation Limited at Durgapur in West Bengal. Shishir has a interest to study about astrophysics, curious to know more about the cosmos and love star gazing. He is actively involved in several services related to community.
Sunita Jena, Founding Member
Sunita is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and comes with 20 years of robust experience in the areas of Accountancy, Auditing, Internal control and compliance, Direct and Indirect Taxation, She has worked with organisations such as Price water House and Temenos India Pvt Ltd. She has rich expertise in conceptualising and implementing new-age compliance, auditing, taxation and accounting solutions which have helped improve operational efficiency and achieve higher cost-saving. Sunita is recently associated with Temenos India Pvt Ltd as Global Manager in System and Process team.
Asish Banerjee, Founding Member
Asish after obtaining a Master Degree in chemistry from Jadavpur University have served various schools in Rourkela as a Chemistry teacher. After two decades of his teaching profession he founded his own coaching center called AB Tutoria to provide quality chemistry education. Asish combines his scientific training with his creativity to teach the students. He continually seeks innovative ways of educating the children and to make the chemistry as a very interesting subject
Krishan Modi, Founding Member
Krishan is an entrepreneur and has an experience of running a business in the field of Fish Feed and Fishery medicine. He currently holds the Championship of manufacturing the fish-food product, Medicine and running a retail store of Imitation jewellery and cosmetics. He is also an active member of Madwadi Yuva Manch where they focus on vocational training for underprivileged youth and many other free services to the society. He is commerce graduate and passionate about nature and likes to sing song.
RVLN Arun Kumar, Founding Member
21 years experience across industries namely FMCG, Consumer Durables, Banking and IT/ITeS both in India and abroad. He is a specialist in Marketing, Channel Sales Strategy and business planning with a strong functional knowledge in Finance, Marketing and Operations. Started career in Pre-sales and Process consulting, in a leading Global IT consultancy firm and then moved into various corporate roles soon after, led teams in corporate planning, Market research, Dealer Channel management, Sourcing and Procurement. He has good understanding about marketing communication, BTL, Public relations and investor relations. In various leadership roles, he has driven concepts of TCO, CMMI, SRM, CRM, E-sourcing, Balanced Scorecard, and SCM Analytics. His passion is listening to music, reading books and associated with children education, health and about environment related activity.
Sibi George, Founding Member
Sibi has been working in the hotel and catering industry as a Head Chef for more than 2 decades now. A hobby and passion that later on became a career after passing out from IHM Bhubaneswar. Working with Airline, offshore, hospital catering and hotels, creating, planning menus and managing kitchen operations life has taken to places and finally landed him in Australia. No matter what he has attained and where he has reached, he still struggle to quell his inner feelings of emptiness. With School Friends Foundation he has found a way to fill this void, a true meaning and happiness to his life that restored.
Anup Kumar Singh, Founding Member
Anup is an enthusiastic School Friends Foundation Member, with over 22 years of experience, working in various countries across Europe and India, across different industry, supporting them in their digital journey and managing their data asset. He is passionate about making a lasting change in the society by supporting the underprivileged group, especially kids to attain their full potential. He hopes to make a positive contribution in some people's life through School Friends Foundation .He believes - Happiness shared is happiness doubled.
Ravi Bennur, Founding Member
He is a native of karnataka born and bred in Rourkela, Odisha. Currently working in Jakarta as ASEAN supply chain manager for an MNC. As school friends we had lot of fun and when reunited after almost 15 years, it bought back all the childhood memories and we wanted to stay connected for ever and spread happiness. This was the basis for creation of School Friends Foundation. We wanted to give back portion of our happiness back to the society and underprivileged in our own capacity. I am happy to see School Friends Foundation grow into a foundation we will be proud of and will satisfy our craving of "Joy of giving".
Vivek Rathi, Founding Member
Vivek Rathi having twenty-five years of extensive experience in various roles within Utility, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation and Chemical Industry sectors, he is a Senior IT Consultant working currently in the UK. Vivek believes that supporting and helping others is the way to live so being part of the School Friends Foundation. He is proud to be part of this great team, which has already made a difference to lives through the projects undertaken by SFF.
